I am a student with a passion to code, a hunger for knowledge and a dream that I am working to make reality.
Ever since I saw Iron Man 3 all those years ago, I grew a passion for making products, services and apps that help make a difference in people's lives. I started out by learning HTML, Python and slowly grasped more concepts and languages to expand my field of expertise. I have been designing, developing and solving for 6+ years and aspire to make something that leaves a significant impact on people.
Over time, my approach to development has evolved to be highly user-centric; software isn't just about writing code — it's about finding the most effective, efficient, powerful and intuitive way to deliver value to the user. There's always room for improvement, and this constant pursuit of a better solution makes development feel more like a craft that you refine over time. A craft I've fallen in love with.
From 29th July to 31st July 2022, me and my team presented The Combustifier Project at the SkillsFuture Festival: CodeFuture event, which took place at VivoCity Singapore and was organised by Apple Inc. and SkillsFuture Singapore, to the public.
Watch Booth's Looped VideoWork It Out is a fitness app that focuses on ease-of-use and intuitiveness. It has been published on the App Store since I made it in 2019.
Learn MorePickleRick is a multi-purpose Discord Bot written completely with Node.js and with the help of libraries from npm. It has 20+ moderator features and 10+ commands to just have fun with!
GitHubDollarMate is an expense-tracking iOS App that is much more advanced than Work It Out. I designed the UI and UX alongside industry professionals and the features include gamification, statistical analysis, categorisation and more. It also has been published on the App Store since I made it in 2021. Additionally, I had the pleasure of showcasing my app before Minister S. Iswaran as well.
Learn MoreCombustifier is a Python-backed multi-platform proof-of-concept application that aims to eradicate the issue of corridors being blocked by inconsiderate neighbours and corridors being full of combustible items in HDB blocks in Singapore. Mostly, I developed the iOS Application and The Reports System. Proud to share that I lead the team to success in a presentation before Minister Masagos and we won an award.
Learn MoreGitHubAccess is a full-blown web application written with Flask and Python that offers cloud storage services. Create an Access Identity and upload files with the peace of mind that Access was designed with security at the forefront.
This is one of my biggest web apps with several robust integrations and internal services. I made and recently published the complete v1.0.2 of it in 2022.
Verdex is a revolutionary tool for tourists to generate sustainable itineraries for trips to Singapore and to share travel experiences with fellow tourists in a community excited about sustainable tourism! This is an ambitious project my group and I embarked on for my App Dev Project module in NYP. It features integrations with OpenAI, Firebase Realtime Database and Authentication, Google Maps, Google Sign-in OAuth and more, making for the biggest and most robust system I've ever led a team to develop.
We were awarded Outstanding Project Presentation by the school.
In the GeekOut Hackathon 2024 (by GovTech Singapore), my team and I were challenged to build a solution to address an area of need in the education context. After an intense 25-hours of ideating and hacking, we developed KudosU!
KudosU is a revolutionary web app to be deployed in secondary schools in Singapore to help democratise recognition through peer affirmation. Small notes of positive affirmation go a long way in mitigating neglected duress, burnout and mental drain in schools. The solution is a Vite-built React app backed by a Flask-based backend.
We were delighted to be awarded Most Innovative Solution in the competition!
MakanMatch is a revolutionary food-sharing platform deployed theoretically by Community Centres in Singapore to connect communities via shared meals and reduce food wastage.
The project is in response to the critical issue of food wastage in Singapore, especially the fact that cooking for just one person almost always results in food wastage. Through this sustainability-centric solution, hosts can invite fellow neighbours for a meal, and cultural exchange proliferates in society while healthier, homemade food is consumed.
The project is a Express-backed React full stack app powered by AWS Relational Database Service, SMTP, Firebase and custom technologies.
We were thrilled to have been awarded the selective Outstanding Project Presentation award for our project!
From the Swift Innovators' Summit in 2019 to the Graduation Ceremony of the AWS Data Science Accelerator Programme in early 2022, each programme and project has taught me so much. I feel like each project is like venturing into the unknown, where you will learn from some incredible people, do some tiring work with some people, rack your brains figuring out solutions to problems and almost reach your breaking point where you wish you never pursued the idea at all. Nevertheless, the effort, the laughs, the tears, the sweat, they are all worth it in the end when I see the product of my efforts come to life, afterwhich I only remember the good memories I had in the project.
After completing the Certified Cloud Practitioner course from Stephane Maarek, I gave the AWS CCP exam my first shot after almost 2 years of using it in various projects and passed! I have always had a lot of interest in Cloud Computing and it's exciting to know that I am finally certified and have a basic understanding of the cloud and its functions.
